Diack praises Qatar’s preparations for IAAF world indoor championships

Doha, December 08, 2009 Mr. Lamin Diack the President of International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) visited Aspire Academy of Sport Excellence on Monday where the 13th IAAF world Indoor Championships will be staged in March 2010.

Diack expressed his happiness about the facilities of Aspire Academy and praised the preparations taken by the Higher Organizing Committee of the IAAF World Indoor Championship- Doha 2010.

IAAF President was accompanied by HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chairman of Higher Organizing Committee of IAAF World Indoor Championship- Doha 2010, Mr. Dahlan Al Hamad, IAAF Vice President and Abdullah Al Zaini, Director of event.

Diack attended the opening ceremony of Doha 2009 Gymnasiade held on Monday.

It is worth mentioning that IAAF delegation under chairmanship of Pierre Weiss, IAAF Secretary General will visit Doha in December to discuss the Qatari preparation for the IAAF world indoor championships.
