Gulf Warehousing named as logistics provider for 2010 WIC

DOHA, February 09, 2010 – The organising committee of the IAAF World Indoor Championships, WIC in Athletics – Doha 2010 and Gulf Warehousing Company signed an agreement confirming Qatar’s largest integrated logistics service provider as a national supplier of the event.

Gulf Warehousing Company, will provide the WIC Organising Committee with land transport and overseas freight clearance services as well as warehousing facilities to support the logistics requirements for the prestigious IAAF event to be held from March 12-14, 2010.

The Championships will welcome athletes, sporting delegates and fans from more than 160 countries, making it one of the biggest international sporting events ever held in Qatar.

The agreement was signed by the 2010 WIC Marketing Manager, Abdulrahman Mosallam Al Dosari, alongside CEO of Gulf Warehousing Company, Ranjeev Menon.

Mr. Al Dosari said: The WIC Organising Committee is in the final stages of its preparations for Doha 2010. The confirmation of leading national institutions such as Gulf Warehousing Company is testament to the support we have been receiving for the World Indoor Championships from both the private and public sector. It will be one of the biggest sporting events in Qatar as well as being one of the premier attractions in the GCC region this year. With the confirmation of many major national partners and suppliers in recent weeks, we are in the advanced stages of preparations to host the World of athletics in Doha this March.
