Code of conduct
Qatar is an Islamic country and as a courtesy, visitors should dress modestly. Swimwear is acceptable on private beaches or by private pools but should not be worn around town.
Alcohol may be purchased and consumed only on licensed premises. Drinking and driving is a serious offence and the country has zero tolerance towards drugs.

Doha World Indoor Championship Information

Opening and Closing Ceremonies
The Opening Ceremony will take place on Friday, 12th of March at the Aspire Dome at 15:00.
The Closing Ceremony will take place on Sunday, 14th of March at the Aspire Dome.

Aspire Dome Competition area
The 13th World Indoor Championships will be held at the Aspire Dome.
Total seating: 5,000 seats.

The Competition Arena provides:

-  Mondo Track Surface (Mondotrack)
- 200m oval track
- 60m straight (8 lanes)
- one High Jump site
- one Pole Vault site
- one Long/Triple Jump
- one Shot Put (mobile sector).

The rest area for the Combined Events will be situated close to the Warm-up Area in the Dome.

Social Programme
Doha is the Cultural Capital of the Arab World for the year 2010. It is therefore planned to have a series of cultural activities for Media in different areas of the city.  More information on city events will be included at the Media guide and will be posted at the information desks in each hotel and at the Main Media Center.
