For some countries it is possible to buy a visa upon arrival, for others you will need to go through the Consulate/Embassy, in some other cases you will have to go through the LOC to apply for a visa.

The countries are divided into four categories.

Category 1: countries whose citizens do not need a visa to enter Qatar –you can obtain a visa upon arrival in Qatar (fees: QR 100, approximately USD 28).

Category 2: countries whose citizens need a visa to enter Qatar and have a consulate or an embassy in their country – you need to apply for a visa in advance through the LOC or directly through the Qatari Embassy or Consulate in your country.

Category 3: countries whose citizens need a visa to enter Qatar and do not have a Consulate or Embassy in their country – you need to apply for a visa in advance through the LOC.

Category 4: holders of GCC passports do not require an entry visa (BRN, KSA, KUW, OMA, UAE).
